Time flies

In about 10 days I fly out to New York, then Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Italy and beyond! The last two weeks have flown. I've not done much else other than be caretaker to Mr T who had his appendix out last week and studied for an assessment I had today. Relief that's over! I give myself permission to get out and about again.

I did take some time out to bake this with the rhubarb that's growing happily in the garden. It is seriously delicious and goes so well with a cup of coffee.

Next week I'll do a whole lot of research in regards to the places I'm visiting, but if you have any recommendations for anything, anything at all, let me know!

Hey Cas,

That is SO exciting. I hope Mr T is feeling much better.

We are visiting Amsterdam and France too so we will have to trade stories. Hope all the planning goes well before you leave and can't wait to catch up and hear all about it!

Love Erin

How long do you have in Italy? I have a gazillion recommendations! Firstly hotel in Roma- Hotel Rimini, very close to Termini, and within 15 minutes walk to Forum and colosseum. Am soooo jealous...

wow that cake looks and sounds so good, new rhubarb recipes are always handy and I've never come across one I didn't like.

So exciting about your trip!! How long are you away for?Sounds like you will see some fantastic places. The research part is always fun, I don't go away until easter so I'm holding off for a little longer, otherwise I will get too excited!

Fantastic...very exciting indeedy! Lucky you having all that time off AND getting to do all that travel too! Will have a little think...we stayed in a great place in NY in the West Village..Magnolia Bakery was a 30 second stroll, just on the corner, Marc Jacobs on the other corner and Tartine at the other end of the Street, Broadway and Soho really close too...brownstone type house with very comfy apartments..let me know if you want more details.

Your holiday must be so very close now. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, very touching and very much appreciated. Not sure if you're going to Venice, but if you do, Hotel Continental is a 2 minute walk from central train station, in a gorgeous part of Venice, and best of all, is right on the grand canal! Is very, very reasonably priced too. Let me know if you plan to go south because I have a million other places for you as well, but you might not have the space in your itinerary.
